I’ve only seen a few Appalachian Trail documentaries, but this one is my favorite. Some of the others I had watched before this one skipped entire states, and didn’t show much of the scenery, but Trek follows the same group of guys through every state along the AT. If you are looking to hike the Appalachian Trail or just want to reminisce about the time you spent out there, then this is the DVD for you.

Wow, I really enjoyed being along for the experience. That is what made this a 5 star movie for me. I enjoyed seeing what it was like for them to learn and adapt along the way. Every thru hike of the AT will throw something different at you, and the people just a week or two ahead of you, or behind you. This showed the tough days and the beautiful days. The highs and some of the lows of 5 months on the AT, without dwelling on the tough days, the whining or the outright “What the heck am I doing out here” times, that 5 months away from family and your “other life” can put you through.

Initially I was very happy with this little vacuum. It’s light weight and it’s easy just to grab and go. I hate vacuuming, but I found it a bit easier when I didn’t have to drag out the large heavy vacuum. I have pets and I myself have long hair, and I found that it did a great job of picking up hair and dust from carpets and hard floors. It’s very easy to empty, just remove the filter and tip out.

I love this “little” salad spinner! A regular one is too big for fresh herbs from the garden, so I had to “hand dry” when I’d pick from the garden. Now that my kids are getting older and some have left home, I find that my regular salad spinner is just to big for salad fixings for just 2 or 3. It’s so convenient to just pop a little bit in and spin. I have a mini food processor I keep on my counter, and since I purchased this I keep it on the counter too. Anyone with a garden, and in this economy you almost need one, should own this! I wish I’d had one years ago. A great gift for the new couple just starting out, empty-nesters who are down-sizing, college kids with their own apartment… And easy to use – I have Lyme disease arthritis, which affects my hands. I can use this with no trouble. Easy push spin, instant stop button, convenient size, stays still on the counter when spinning (the only thing to improve it would be to add non-slip surface to the bottom) — after I got it, and used it, I went right back online and got 2 more – one for my newlywed daughter (perfect for salads for 2) and one for my mother, who lives alone and has alot of trouble with her hands. This should be a standard in every kitchen.

This salad spinner is terrific; all types of greens are just perfect when they finish a good spin. I am also preparing fresh garden vegetables for freezing and the salad spinner is just the right ticket to remove the remaining water from peas and beans. This product works as stated and I love it.
