 Vantage Point (Single-Disc Edition) Vantage Point, which aspires to be a cunningly twisted thriller, comes equipped with plenty of hurtling action, handheld camerawork, what-was-that? editing, and a plot that has multiple, contradictory agendas writhing like a nest of snakes. It’s all set a-boil within a few blocks of a town square in Spain where a U.S. President is targeted for assassination. Although the movie lasts 90 minutes, the events it depicts are mostly over with in a quarter-hour or so–but seen, rewound, and reseen from half a dozen different (you guessed it) vantage points. The first line in the credits reads “Original Film,” apparently the name of the production company. “Gimmick Movie” would be more accurate; the opening reel, effectively jolting, affords an initial overview of the events through the eyes, lenses, monitors, and dueling sensibilities of a TV news producer (Sigourney Weaver), her activist-minded reporter (Zoe Saldana) and crew. Everybody’s in Salamanca (actually, Mexico City) for the start of an international conference to reaffirm Arab-Western commitment to the fight against terrorism. Terrorism, of course, sees this as an ideal moment to break out. As gunshots and explosions reduce everything to chaos, the clock is reset to zero and we proceed to revisit the scene as experienced by several Secret Service agents (namely Dennis Quaid and Matthew Fox), an American tourist with camcorder (Forest Whitaker), sundry locals–including three who may be caught up in a love triangle or a conspiracy or both–and even the President himself (William Hurt).

Customer Review: Around the house
I’ve owned these Stanley screwdrivers for years and haven’t had any issues with them. I work with computers and for opening computer cases and light household work, they do just fine. That said, I wouldn’t use them in any truly demanding environment (such as auto work).

Customer Review: great with the right setup
I didn’t want to permantely mount my full size CB in my new Nissan Altima yet as I still can’t find a good spot to mount it. So for an upcoming trip to Wisconsin I purchased my first portable hand held unit. With the standard Rubber Duck antenna the reception inside the car is pretty bad, but using a Cobra conversion adapter I’ve connected my Wilson 1000 mag mount to the portable and reception and transmission is almost as good as my Ranger full size unit.

To all the people who have issues in getting full or high wattage out of this or any other unit: you MUST have thick (#4) and short (3-4ft) 12v cables to your battery bank. Otherwise the inverter will be starved for current and cause the “low voltage protection” to kick in. Make sure your battery/ bank are up to the task as well.

Customer Review: HP makes computers like GM made cars in the 1970s
I bought this computer from Amazon, and I could never get the computer working. I ran every diagnostic on the computer I could. The machine was whisper quiet and seemed to run like a bat out of hell. However I could not get Windows to boot up on the PC. I even did a complete factory re-install of Windows and that did not work. Now I’m going to have to take the computer back to the UPS store and pay for shipping until Amazon gets the computer back and gives me my money back.

Customer Review: Kid Friendly!
I love this mp3 player!!! My son sees me listening to my mp3 player sometimes and wants to listen, so I used to let him play with mine…however, mine was a bit expensive so I had to be extra careful making sure he didn’t drop it, flush it, etc. (he just turned 2). Anyway, I thought I’d buy him one of his own, and I found this one and it is amazing!! My child loves it! And the shape of it makes it much easier for him to hold in his hand, its not too wide. I like that the USB port is covered, so he doesn’t even realize its there to mess with! I just throw the ear pieces over his shoulders so they hang there and I turn the volume all the way up so he can hear it, that way I don’t hurt his ears!! He loves this player and so do I!

I bought this for my little brother pirate..who wanted to be cool like his big brother with the ipod! It has worked great. It is not fancy…but it does hold enough music and is easy for a six year old to operate.
